The Vedic Facts
Whatever we have today, whatever advancement we have achieved is just because of science. We can control any thing and we can know the result of any work if we are advance in science. Even in only last 200 years we have achieved very high level scientific advancement and now we are exploring more and more about our surroundings.
But do you know about scientist who existed even thousands of years ago ? They did not had any lab coats and such advance instruments like today's scientists have. What they had predicted thousands of years ago, are very much similar to the theories of the scientists' of today.
In our blog we have started a new series of "Vedic Facts" that will include facts of science which were predicted by the Vedas of ancient India . In today's post we will talk about some of the Shlokas of Rig Veda. So, lets start.
The below shloka is extracted from the Rig Veda which predicts about chromosomes. We all know that, in 1842 Karl Wilhelm Von Nägeli discovered subcellular structures that would later became known as chromosomes. The fact which was given by modern science neraly 150 years ago, was predicted by the Vedas between 1700–1100 BCE.
This shloka say that there are cells know as रोगाणु कोशिका( Roganu Koshika), in today's language Germ cell, which are responsible for inheritance of character of the parents in the progeny. These germ cells contains genetic body called chromosomes(not only germ cell bu every cell in the body of any multicellular organism consist these bodies). Chromosomes have the information about the structure, function and position of different organs in the body of the progeny. The structure of chromosomes can be seen in the above picture. These body act as a genetic material transporter. Their small unit is called gene which contains the information about a particular character or trait.
Here it is also said that both male and female parents contribute their characters in the progeny.

In our blog we have started a new series of "Vedic Facts" that will include facts of science which were predicted by the Vedas of ancient India . In today's post we will talk about some of the Shlokas of Rig Veda. So, lets start.
1. Genetic Chromosomes

2. The VIBGYOR Spectrum
The white light is made up of 7 color : Violet, Indigo, Blue, Green , Yellow, Orange, and Red. This discovery was done by one of the greatest scientist of all time Issac Newton in the 17th century . He did an experiment with Prism in which he had assembled and disassembled the white light into seven color .
But in the Rig Veda it was predicted that there are seven colors of light as there are 7 sur (notes) in the music.
These spectrum of seven colours of light have different energy levels and wave lengths. In VBGYOR, they are arranged in descending order of their energy levels. These colours travel at the same speed in the vacuum but their speed changes as they travel trough any other medium. The speed depends on the optical density of the media.
3. Nitrogen Cycle
The nitrogen cycle is one of the most important environmental cycles. In this cycle , nitrogen is changed from nitrogen gas (N2 ) into Nitrates (NO3-) and Nitrites(NO2-). These compounds are then reduced to ammonia (NH4), and then again converted into Nitrogen Gas.
In the above shloka, it is given that due to thunder strike, the atmospheric Nitrogen gets converted into the other nitrogen radical compounds. This fact is totally incredible to be found in the Vedas because at that time the principle of compound formation was unknown to human. The phenomenon of Nitrogen Fixation was discovered in 1901 and the process of Nitriffication was discovered in 1877 by Theophile Schloesing and Achille Muntz through their experiments with sewage water filtered through a mixture of sand and limestone.
This cycle is also very much important for the formation of the nitric acid which is very important for the DNA formation and it also maintains the fertility of the soil and in the Rig Veda, the plants that take part in the nitrogen fixation are also mention.
4. The Aircraft
In 1445, a grate artist named Leonardo da Vinc had given a model of a air and after 450 years of that Wright Brothers, in 1895, invented the first airplane of the human history . But the Rig Veda had predicted about these aircrafts much earlier. In the section 1.116 it is mention about the space craft , air craft and about the vehicle who can travel in both air and water.
Even the Rig Veda, the oldest document of the human race includes references to the following modes of transportation: Jalayan – a vehicle designed to operate in air and water (Rig Veda 6.58.3); Kaara- a vehicle that operates on ground and in water. (Rig Veda 9.14.1); Tritala- a vehicle consisting of three stories. (Rig Veda 3.14.1); Trichakra Ratha – a three-wheeled vehicle designed to operate in the air. (Rig Veda 4.36.1); Vaayu Ratha- a gas or wind-powered chariot. (Rig Veda 5.41.6); Vidyut Ratha- a vehicle that operates on power. (Rig Veda 3.14.1).
The Indian scriptures also discribe about the Pushpak Viman and it also describes about a Space Craft that can fly up to the speed of light. The model of an Indian Air craft is here.
